Smallest Tank I Can Have

Hi all,I aminterested in setting up a likkle reef tank.I was wondering whats the minimum tank size i can have for one? It don't necessaraly has to have fish in but woud live a few shrimp or something like that.Thanks Ben.Could you also make a list of what i will need for it.thanks,Ben.

I've seen people make nanos out of small 1 gallon containers. Not sure if this is wise or what you put in there but you can do it

Try a 3 gallon first.

Just be very wary.
Marine life is much more sensitive to water quality and changes in the environment than tropical.
So Bigger is always better especially with your first marine tank, the larger volume of water will dissipate any toxins that crop up in the water and also have a much more stable temprature.

Don`t let this put you off though nanos are hard work but they look great

i started marine with a 6 gal nano i think that is a good size and you should be ok with a clown fish.
you will need red sea salt
a hydrometer or refractometer
test kits
live sand or gravel(sand is better even though i hvae gravel)
liverock is a must
thermometer

The aquastart is a good 'tank'. However the filter and lighting are no where near enough and will need to be replaced.

mine is an aqua 320. get rid of the powerhead and get an internal or external filter. my lights are the same which are later to be improved but everything is doing ok for now no probs.

no its not you can have 2 clown fish in a 10 gal but 1 clon in a 6 gal. thats what i have been told on here by many people long before i started my marine tank

I don't realy know lol.I would love a goby if possible .I love clown gobys I have a while to wait yet lol.Bofre i can set a tank up becuase my fish house isnt setup yet lol.
