Smallest Species Of Halfbeaks?

since i have no experience with halfbeaks i dont know much, what are the smallest species of halfbeak? and is it small enough not to eat a bbg?

Well, let me put it this way. I have the largest species of halfbeak kept in aquaria, Celebes halfbeaks, and they show no interest in bumblebees and have been living together for almost a year. The biggest female is about 10 cm long. The smaller species, such as wrestling halfbeaks, are far too small to eat gobies. They might just eat livebearer fry, but that's about it.

hmmm maybe ill get some wrestling halfbeaks for my 55 gallon, i always assumed that theyd gobble up the bbg's, but i guess not

Yes. BSc in zoology and a PhD in palaeontology though, so not a "fish scientist" in any way, shape, or form.
