Sorry its so bright and strange, I have a powerful light on there and the home made hood lets some out which affects the camera.

Those are some very nice healthy looking plants. You got a pic of that homemade hood you made and instructions on how to do it ourselves if we wanted?

Well there are currently-

2 Chain Loaches
5 Golden Barbs
1 Kissing Gourami (growing out)

The hood is very simple I just got some 18mm MDF and 3 pieces tall enough to cover the water line two piece the length of the tank (sides) and one the width (front piece) of the tank and then glued them to a top piece and screwed some light clips in. I left the back open for wires etc. I thentwo pieces of glass that when layed next to each other would cover the tank top and silconed in two plastic beams in which the glass fitted and they now slide either way in them so I have a sliding cover.

It's just lovely. I think the dense plants are great! And thanks for the pics of your hood - one of my projects this summer is a new hood for my 20, so I enjoyed looking at yours!
