sleeping loaches

My loaches seem to be sleeping all the time, I know they are supposed to be very lively in the night, bu even then they are still sleeping, all they do is sleep

Are they coming out for food? ....and do you have plenty of places for them to hide?

I've noticed with mine that when they have a lot of different places to hide and plenty of plant growth they tend to come out and spend more time in the open in the tank........think it's just that they feel more secure.
