I have accidentally spread a bunch of pond snails throughout 4 tanks (I wanted 1 to be a snail only tank any way, my severum likes them) and I want to get some loaches. My LFS has skunk loaches for $1.50, how are they with snails? I have a 20g long and a 10g that I need the snails out of. I figure I could quarantine them in the 10g for 2-3 weeks, and then move them to the 20 for a perminant residence :D Any comments? I hope they help, these snails know multiplication better than I do!

they love em. they will clear your tank of snails in days

Skunk loaches are quite aggressive. Although they are only small, they don't lack guts and will not be pushed around. Just a little heads up if you have delicate or easily bothered fish.

I know LL, I had one that passed a few months ago, before I had snails :D

I got three, although one seems to have a mouth deformity (Stuck wide open) and dosn't swim with the other two  Hopefully he'll get better over time :) The other two are annoying my rubbernose pleco, and he's trying to spear them with his pectoral fins  These guys are too funny :p

Mine are really loud "clickers".

The first time I heard it, I thought the tank was cracking. -_-

Here's a pic I found on the internet :D
