hi, yesterday my dwarf puffer was looking really skinny, and i tried to feed him but he wouldnt take the food, but otherwise he was ok, today he just sits on the bottom (still not taking food) and he is extremely skinny, i dont think he will last the day but i dont know what it is.
I doubt there is some kind of miracle cure for him now :(
he has a sunken belly but also has sunken sides, he looks terrible :( skinny_puffer_001.jpgskinny_puffer_002.jpg

edit: there have been no signs of stringy poo or inflamed anus or anything like that

best thing i could suggest is try snails if u have any most puffers cant resist them it may give him the strngth to battle on :)

Normally skinnyness in puffers is a sign of bacterial or other infection or just not eating enough.
Try some snails as mojodex said.
Hope he makes it through geo :).

Being skinny can be internal parasites, fish tb, to flukes.
What does it look like when he goes to the toilet.
Check the anus to see if its enlarged or red and inflamed.
Can you issolate the sick fish.

RIP, he died last night.

the best i could do last night was put him in a breeding net to avoid the others eating him. I havent noticed what he looked like when going to toilet, so nothing abnormal.
