Skimmer Conversion

I have room in the sump for the pump but not the skimmer itself. Buy running hose from the pump to the skimmer and from the skimmer to the sump can I make a Red Sea hang on skimmer work this way? Do any of you see any problems with this?

You can run a hang-on skimmer off of a sump, I just wouldnt use a Red Sea prizm as they're peices of junk. The old "Classic" models are OK if you allready have one. But if you're purchasing one, there are better options

Yeah I hate the hang on prizms too....noisy and not that great. This is a classic tube design Berlin Turbo with a hang on option.
