Hi,

I am just about to make my 6.5g (30l) redundant (have a bigger one now) and like the idea of getting a puffer of some kind in there. Nothing too big, maybe a dwarf or something.

Is my tank too small or would it be ok for a couple and can you have more than one or do they fight?

Cheers,

Neil

from what i've read and been told you can put 1 dwarf puffer in there. maybe two if you have lots of caves and plants, etc. though there 'may' be fighting  not entirely sure. but i would suggest only one to avoid the potential.

someone who actually has puffers will be able to help you more i'm sure ;)

You could get a single dwarf puffer (Carinotetraodon travancoricus) but only the one as they need 5 gallons each. Make sure it's definately a dwarf as some puffers look similar but grow a lot bigger. Remember it will need to be fed snails and other meaty foods.
