Sinking Pellets And Algae Wafers

Evening all, i bought a bristlenose catfish on saturday and also some sinking pellets and sinking algae wafers for him, how do i stop the other fish from eating nearly all his food, i try and put it close to where he is in the tank but he just swims away then the other fish pounce, i don't wanna him to starve,

Any advice greatly appreciated,

i put them in a night and i think he got them or you can put a few in at diffrent coeners of the tank and he should get 1
or you could try some cucumder or somethink bigger like that that he will get to
