Silver Square

my fancy goldfish has had (over the last few days) a silver square appear on his scales! It is a perfect square and don't remember seeing it when we bought him a few weeks back. He seems perfectly happy,is swimming and feeding well and loves you to peer in the tank at him. Any ideas?

What type of goldfish is it, i only had my coldwater fish for a few months then sold them so don;t know too much but know a little.
Maybe it is growing up and could just be a normal sign?

not worried as he seems so happy and the square doesn't seem so bright anymore
