Just a quick question
I have 2 Silver sharks one is quite big and no trouble to any of the smaller fish in the tank but the smaller one is being a little sod! i have seen him having a go at one of my guppies and left it with a couple of nasty red marks on it. This afternoon i have come home to find 2 orange swordtails dead and an orange platy.
The question is what to do with the little silver shark and why would he be doing this?

The tank they are in is 4feet by 2feet by 2feet and i dont have that much else in there, so if i get another 2 silver sharks they will stop eating the other fish? what do i do with him in the meantime?

Silver shark is often another common name for bala shark- check out this page with pics and info on them just to make sure yours are bala sharks;

:good: .
They are best kept in groups as they are skittish fish that do best in company of their own kind, decorating yoru tank appropriately will also help this fishes nerves as well. Also, have you witnessed the sharks attacking other fish or just eating dead ones? Can you tell us your total tank stocking plus numbers :) ?

bala sharks are gentle giants i have 2 in a 4ft tank and they dont bother any other fish they can have big bellies sometimes they will eat 2 or 3 whole cubes of frozen food to themselfs!! :blink:
