40gallon while small then to a 70 gallon
my plant count is 70 for £10.12

Your plant count will be zero in no time if you add silver dollars to a planted tank, they are herbivors and will make short work of even the toughest plants, the only plants that can be kept looking good with silver dollars are fake ones.

I don't like to contradict CFC, but my dollars didn't eat my plant when they got to adults, they preffered meaty foods such as neons as described in a similar post. They used to strip all they plants bare, but seemed to grow out of it.

at the moment it focuses on south american fish but still has 5 asian fish dps to be replaced with 3 sap's & if I feel realy luck a larg angel fish.
I have a sturdy enough bank balance to be conslantly replacing plants & enough veggies to feed an army so I'm not hitting any trobble yet.
they are abot the size of the ring a the base of a tea cup.

My SDs love meaty foods too and will often steal bits of fish from the predators in the tank but they also love green and will eat all day if there is any in the tank, i guess you can just say SDs love to eat.

I know that SDs are suppose to be lawnmowers, but I seriously can't GET mine to eat my real plants. They LOVE peas, shrimp pellets, algae wafers, food food and FOOD, but they just don't seem to care for the plants that I've tried so far

Go figure...............
