i've got a silver dollars tropical fish which i think i've had for 19 years! how long should they live?

wow thats a long time! I read somewhere a minute ago that they have a lifespan of 10+ years

Wow, that's .

I saw a 6" or so silver dollar in a tank at a lfs, and that amazed me. It probably took many years for it to get that big.

I'd say you're treating your fish well and that you should keep doing what you're doing. Just remember though, the end is near, so treat 'em well. :look: :/

I know, I know. I was going to add smilies, but I guess I did want to end it in a somber tone. i just wanted to say that I knew people get attached to fish over time, and death is an inevitability.
