6 inches in an aquarium I think.

Mine tripled in size in about 6 weeks but have stopped at 3.5 inches roughly.

Although I put cucumber in my tank, my silver shark and blue ram seem to attack it the most.

I catch my silver dollers eating catfish pellets the most, but they're incredibly quick and nimble and will beat most fish to slow sinking pellet food such as Tetra Prima.

They don't seem to touch my plants apart from one particular type that has dark red leaves - they only tend to survive a couple of weeks - but that could be due to other fish after lights out....

5-8" and yes they are always easily frightened. They are less shy the bigger the shoal is tho.
