Silver Dollars Mating?

my silver dollars are doing some flirty behaviour, they chase each other around the tank and then line up next to each other and start 'wiggling'. i presume this is either courtship or mating although i have not seen them actually produce anything and they do it whilst in open space not on leaves or anything. also they get two dark spots on them when doing this and red and black outlines to their tails. am i right in thinking this is mating?

A few of the ones i used to have did this, nothing ever came of it though

Mine were a 6ft tank and spawned a couple of times.

When spawning the reached from one end to the other with a second with the male nipping on the pelvic fins of the female.
When releasing the eggs the pair would suddenly dash up and down and release the eggs, which then feed all the cichlids!

I never got fry although i did manage to catch some eggs.
