I've read all the silver dollar threads in the forum and can't figure out the answer to my question.

I bought 2 of these fish about a month ago and they were both about 1.5cm long.

A month later, one of them hasn't grown much (if at all) and the other is about 4cm long (high etc :D ).

I therefore came to the conclusion that I had a male and female, but it seems that the difference between the sexes is in the size of the anal fin and not overall size?

I've studied the fish and both anal fins look of comparible size, or at least in proportion to body size....

So what do the silver dollar experts think - do I have a pair or is one just incredibly greedy?

It's quite possible that one is eating more than the other - natural pecking order. I find that with several of my groups of fish, eg; cories and loaches, even though they were bought together, some seem much larger than others. I bought 4 clown loaches, which I presumed were all from the same batch, and now they are all different sizes - one has nearly doubled in size, whereas the smallest out of them hasn't grown much at all. I'm no expert on silver dollars and maybe my theory is wrong, it's just my opinion.

It's a good theory becuase he (or she) is much quicker than the smaller one, and pretty much everything else in my tank!!

Any theories on the sexes?
