I have 6 Silver Dollars in my 55 gallon which consists of 2 large, 2 medium, and 2 smaller ones. They all stick together come time to school around (when someone approaches the tank and/or its feeding time). The small ones and large ones, I've found, don't really distinguish size....accept for the occasional sparring between the two largest ones....which doesn't last very long.

Sooo.....I don't know about them "defending" the smaller ones, but they are definately considered "one of the boys" come time to stick together. :good:

so i could do that yeah :)
i was thinking, is there any special way of introducing them together ?mayb getting a big fish bag catching them all floating them for 20 minutes all together and releasign them into their new 4 ft tank ?

I dont think you would really need to do that, unless you just wanted to

Sorry I lost sight of this thread!

If the tank water is the same temp just drop them in....no need to acclimate them....but if you want to be on the safe side I dont see anything wrong with that either.

They've probably been in your tank for a while by the time I've responded. LOL
