Silly Question? What Is The Difference Between A Refuge And A Sump

A refugium is a cordoned off area, a safe haven for creatures that would otherwise get gobbled up by the main tank inhabitants.

A sump is another tank where you can do all the water 'processing', out of sight, away from the main tank.
