my female CT managed to swim behind the filter and get stuck in the filter holder, god knows how there litrally no gap to swim through, obviously i noticed in time, pulled the filter off and she swam out like she had a firework up her garry glitter,

anyway she seams to have quite a few cuts on her head from where she was stuck, these dont seam too deep and she seams to be swimming around normally be it a little slower though and showing stress lines.

the water is clean as i changed it today. there is a IAL in there already and i use api water treatement with aloe vera i think it is that helps healing fins etc etc,

will she be ok or had i best also do somthing else for her ?

I would treat her with myaxin for a couple of days - just to keep infection away.

I have a similar issue, I had one of my male bettas in a net breeding trap as a temp measure and he has scraped his lip away - as I didnt catch it in time he now has cotton wool surrounding his mouth and over the wound - so keep an eye out for secondary infections

Lucky you found her in time, I had a female do exactly that a while back but by the time I found her it was too late bettas are prone to doing such things, one of my males got stuck in a heater guard and died too.
