Does anyone know of a good brand of silk plants that does not fray around the edges like this? It's hardly a big deal, just curious. Thanks!

I dont use silk plants just for that reason. I use plastic plants that have passed the nylon test

Hi

We have used the ones made by Marina and found them ok. There's aslo some made by Penn plax too.

You take a pair of panty hose and rub them over every surface of the plant. If they dont fray or tear (in the least) then the plants are ok. They wont harm the bettas delicate fins

Haha, Bronze beat me to it ;)

I grabbed a handful of plastic plants out of the cabinet and did the test (Albert Fish needs another plant). The one I thought was softest did the most damage, and the only one that passed is a purple metallic plant that I thought would definitely fail. It will compliment his colors nicely! :good:
