Silicone

Do we need to buy a specific Silicone for fish tanks. I will be using this to glue together a breeding cave out of slate.

If so what have people used before?

The standard stuff from a DIY store is fine.
But it needs to be 100% silicone, quite a few come with added anti-fungal chemicals which must be avoided.
As long as it is just silicone it will be safe, if your unsure play it safe and go for the expensive aquatic stuff.
