This may be a stupid question, but I thought I would ask.

Question: Is my Sig too big? I know the max should be no larger than 400x300? Mine is 475x200?

I just dont want to annoy anyone if it is too big? I saw larger ones than mine, so that is why I am asking, just because I dont' know for sure.

Also, I must say thank you too all the admin/mods, and everybody else who made/helps maintain this forum. Even further, I must say thank you to all the members as well!

Without this forum I would not have a tank right now, or if I did it would not be pretty...

If my sig is too big, I will be more than happy to make it smaller!

Based on the current guidelines, it is. As you mentioned, max is 400w x 300h with 2 lines of text. We have been discussing a change in the size of the photo. I think part of the reason for the width maximum of 400 was to keep them from being so wide that people had to scroll sideways to read posts if the signature was too wide. Those guidelines were written back in early 2005 when most people had smaller monitors than they currently have leaving more possibility that anything over 400 would be too wide for the screen.

Several things have been discussed. One possibility is 600x300. Another is having a box that is probaly 600x300 and you can put what you want (within the rules of the forum obviously) in that box. It could be photos, text, etc. Apparently that is something that another forum uses. It isn't currently part of the default installation for our software and William is waiting on the next update to see if it's included.

Since it's actually from a host site at ImageShack, you would need to resize it there and then put the new link in your sig.

Okay...I got it figured out...now it is like 418x180..or something like that...

Is that an okay size?
