Signature Rule Change

Hi all,

I'm having a problem updating my signature. Apparently on the new layout you are only allowed 5 lines of text and/or only 5 hyper links... Why is this?

The rule has long been 5 lines of text, it is just that the new forum software can do this more automatically than before. Before, we (the mods) had to just happen upon them.

So does my current sig break the rules? I was able to create it on the last forum setup, but I am unable to update it cos it tells me that I am not allowed to have more that 5 hyperlinks and more than 5 lines of text...

Is that 5 lines of continued text or 5 lines of text in the signature diaolog box?

I think you're aloud five lines and a picture...

It is 5 lines total including the photo (your photo is your first line), text and hyperlinks. Lines 2 and 3 for you are text. Line 4 is actually a blank line (those count too) and line 5 is the one with your hyperlinks.

The new software is capable of distinguishing between the text and the pictures. That means that the new limits are somewhat more free than under previous rules but are enforced by the software itself instead of us having to notice it. It means more and larger signatures for the general population but is so large in its allowances that it is a point being debated at length by the MODs to try to arrive at a fair and still liberal rule for the software to enforce.
