Well my vaccume broke so I decided to get my old one...The onyl problem is that it was under a bird nest..there was a lot of junk on it dire n stuff but I was cleaning it for a half hour going through the tubing and such with HOT water the whole time I cleaned the thing dumped boiling water on it I think I got it pretty good but I looked in the sucker thing I saw a few black specs that arn't coming out..Any one have advice for me am I fine using this one or should I get a new one.

Think about it for a min.
You're using the vacum to remove water from the tank not fill it. So if there are some black specs in the tubing no big deal because you're not flowing anything into the tank from the tubing.

Hell my gravity siphon has brown algae that's grown in it over the years.

But im just worried that bird poo germs n stuff are stll on it and that could get into my tank and spread disease What do you think?

Could that melt the plastic? wait ill just get a large bowl but what about the tupe how do I get inside there or just boil it also?

if you're worried about melting it then soak it in a mild bleach solution.
Just be sure to throughly rinse it and soak it in some water with extra dechlorinator before you use it.

Or just pony up the $10 or so for a new one.

Ill get a large bowl boil it all and but it a bowl with declorniator and let it soak..Bur for how long?

Buy a new one.

In that situation, no matter how much I cleaned it, I'd be worried about it for weeks afterwards that the bird poo / bleach had somehow hurt the fish.

It's £15 for peace of mind.

Yea I was thinking same I mean this bird poo can cause disease so I'll get a new one but we can't get to a fish store for awhile so not good for my sish as I was due for water cleans yesterday

ah yes! but you see, that's the beauty of cleaning your tanks on a weekly basis... no one dies if you have to wait a day!

if you're really concerned, just scoop water out with a cup and refill as usual. then do a gravel vacuum as soon as you've gotten a replacement.
