Ok. So, a while ago, I got a tankmate for my large yellow apple snail, Leanora. I made sure he was smaller in case they should fight, though everyone said they wouldn't. Better safe than sorry. They were getting along well for weeks, then one day I came home to find Leanora completely wrapped around Elliot. It looked like she was eating him, but I'm pretty sure they were just mating. However, once she was done, Elliot closed "his" door, and wouldn't open it for about 3 days. I thought maybe he was afriad to come out because of the larger tankmate, and moved him into a smaller (2 gallon, which is small, but he's only about 1.5cm diameter) tank for some recovery. He was doing ok for about one day, but has become very lethargic. I've been changing his water regularly, but he is refusing to eat and isn't coming out much. When he does come out of his shell, he barely moves, and if you jar him, he takes a long time to retract into the shell.
Anyone know what's wrong with him? Did the larger snail damage him mating? Is "he" sluggish because of being full of eggs or something? I'm really worried about the little guy...
