Sick?

My milk and ink platy is not doing so well. ive had him approxmatly one year, he is my oldest fish. this morning he was almost lying on the bottom of the tank. his fins and tale are just about gone....i dont know if they are chewed off or if he is sick. i have not added any new fish in a long time, and all the others seem to be fine. what is going on here, what can i do to help him? this is going on in tank one.

can you rule out fin rot?

Are the fins lined with white? If so it sounds like fin rot.

What other fish do you have in your tank?

there is no white line, i dont know much about fin rot. in the tank are longfin Rosybarb, one other platy, a neon tetra, two zebra danios, and three ottos
