sick tetra

my neon tetra is constatly swiming downwards . it doesnt go down to the bottome cus he comes back up after each effort. what could this be and is it contageous? i hope not becasue ive got no where else to put him.

maybe the current of filter is pushing it down?

are there more fish in the aquarium, exhibiting this behavior?

it could be bacterial, what are your water parameters? Amm, Nitrites, Nitrates?

Swim bladder disease...perhaps?

well theres about 15 other tetras with him. swim bladder...hmmm, i have another fish doing the same thing but not as bad, they are a bit aggresive towards each other and go around in clircles like dogs do when two dogs snif easch others butt,lol
