I have a 90g with 12 2" rainbowfish in it. One female Austrialian Rainbow has been breathing rapidly and hanging out by herself for 3 days now. Just now I noticed she is having trouble swimming upright. I have moved her into a breeding enclosure because I have read that fish with bladder problems should be in shallow water. I think she is consitpated. She is very fat and apprears to be full of eggs too(or constipatied). She is 2 inches long. She is swimming upright and just "resting" now that I have moved her to the shallow breeding enclosure.
nitrate= 10ppm, nitrite = 0, ammonia = 0, ph = 7.2
This tank is mature and I have had no sick fish for 7-12 months now.
I did see a large looking protrusion from her anus area, that is now mostly gone but still somewhat visable. I did feed beef heart for the first time in months just a few days ago...
What can I do?
Perhaps light pressure to help consitpation? or some "laxitive". I doubt she will eat at this point....
Thanks for the help
Cheers
