My pleco has recently been acting strange. Coming out in the light, and bobbing at the top of the water. His belly is pretty fat, but not EXTREMELY. That's the only thing that looks remotely wrong. He bobs at the top, and tries to latch on with his sucker...but can't most of the time. He doesn't look too good. One of my angels is looking weird as well. He's sitting on the bottom and tipping a little.

What could this be, and how do I fix it?!

Tank info: Nitrates, nitrites, ammonia, all perfect. 30 gallon tank set up for at least 5 months. 3 angels/ 1 worm looking loach/ 2 black skirt tetras/ and a pleco...SICK!

Bloated tummy can mean a couple of things, what it look like when both fish go to the toilet, is his anus red and inflamed, anything pruruding from the anus, try some shelled peas and daphnia, what do you feed the plec, can the angel maintain it's balance in the water, are scales sticking out like a pinecone, the angel on the bottom laying to one side can mean they are dying i'm afraid, the plec dosn' t sound to good either, how often do you maintain the tank, how often do you do a gravel or sand vac.

Hi Fishfight - you shouldn't really have more than one topic on the same thing running. Here is your other thread you had in chit chat. If you decide it's in the wrong section, just PM a mod (they appear in blue on the "who's online" list, on the main forum page) and ask them to move it for you ;)
Keeping things in one place is good for continuity and prevents to some extent conflicting information when it results in a discussion :)

Hope your plec gets better.

Are the angel or plec eating? Any white or other than normal feces?
