Sick platy

I posted this in the tropical fish emergencys section of the forum but I may get more help her.

I have a 10 gallon tank and I added two fish recently a gold bar platy and a silver wag platy, the silver wag died after:

being sort of blind (running into things)

swimming weakly (the filter excursion knocked him around alot)

and he stayed at the bottom of the tank all of these got worse

So I bought a new silver wag. He was fine the first day but then he didn't really respond to my hand going next to the glass, and he stayed up at the top corners of the tank. Even when the other fplatys came near him he swam away to the other side of the tank. Now he isn't eating, and he either stays at teh top or bottem of the tanks corners.

I have 6 other fish 2 white clouds 1 of which is a fry 2/3's the size of the other a gold white cloud, a painted platy(FEMALE), a sunset fire wag platy(MALE), a gold bar platy(FEMALE).

please help if you can. thanks.

I have had bad luck with all types of platy's... I have one sunset male and a red female platy...once there gone I want replace them. I had 5 female sunset platy's they were fine for months, got up one morning one was dead...every morning there after one died...with no illness showing, not acting weird no nothing, and several of my friends have had the same problem...Noone knows why. Sorry I can be no help... But sometimes things happen with no reason

mabey that breed of platy doesn't like my tank cause all my others are fine.

like 10 minutes ago he went crazy did a donut then shot through the water attempted to jump out then came back down ago in 1 second, after that his gills were pulsing like he was breathing heavily.

Mabey it's the stores batch.

it could be the stores batch it doesnt sound like anything i've heard before for sickness. i had a problem with that a while ago with plecos.my son really wanted a pleco and they went on sale so i bought him one.it died in the night.i got a replacement one and it died in the night so i got a third replacement and it died within hours.i showed pictures of them to someone and they said that they were starving to death and the shock of moving them killed them with the lack of food. it happens sometimes.it could be stress of some kind.good luck with it.
