SICK OSCAR

my oscar is VERY sick shes laying on her side and not breathing i hope she is going to be okay she is really fat tough from eating a lot she is a hog so i wont feed her for a few days any ideas

My O used to do this on occasion so it may be that the O is just resting after eating. But here's a few questions to help find out.

How long has it been acting this way?
How long have you had the O?
How big is the O?
Are its fins clamped to its sides?
What's its color like?

Sometimes oscars just like to lounge around abit. Kind of like a clown loach but not quite as bad as that. Those guys can real lounge!

Don't feed your fish as much as it will eat - in the wild they are always foraging for food, eating as much as they can is still a lean diet for them. In the aquarium they will eat to the point that it isn't good for them. Overfeeding can cause your fish to grow too quickly, resulting in a fat shaped fish and possible a shortened lifespan. It's important for you to monitor the feeding and do what is best.
