Sick Molly

My First male molly and father to the lil ones looks like he has something wrong with him, on his left side about 2mm below the top fin he has about a 2mm patch which is kinda white. He is still perfectly happy chasing the ladies but i dont want anything happening to him or it getting worse

What could this be and what should i be treating with?

Could be white spot (ich). Is he rubbing against the decos in the tank? If so you can buy meds for this. Treat the whole tank as per instructions and then do 25% water change. Take the carbon filter out while you are doing medication.

no its bigger than ich unless its a really concentrated patch but none of the other fish have signs of it...Im currently 3 days into melafix in the tank to see if this helps as i also have 1 or two nipped fins to deal with.
