Sick Gourami

Hi

i have recently been treating my gourami for a internal bacterial infection. Which was deemed to be the cause of the red spot on its side, the red spot has started to go but the gourami now looks swollen and breathing heavily!! i have been away for the weekend and not monitored the fish and now it looks bad. any ideas?

To be honest not good once they heavy breath that is usually it.
Could try an epson salt bath for the swelling, but with the fish heavy breathing it could stress him even more.
