sick goldfish

I pulled a new goldfish out of my 20 gal and put him in isolation for about a week now. He hasn't shown any symptoms (looked like a bacterial infection on the scales) since the day I isolated him. so he has been symptom free for 6b days. Can I move him back to the 20 gal? currently there is only 1 other goldfish in there and some javamoss.

I am using these fish to cycle my 20 gal for Bettas (its divided into 5 sections)

If he looks healthy and is acting fine you can put him back in the tank?
