sick Danio

Hi there, wondered if anyone out there can offer me some advice?
My zebra danio (about 8 weeks old to my tank) is not looking at all happy.
It is staying well away from all the others, and is very slightly leaning to one side.
It is nearer the bottom of the tank, and not moving about very much. Could this be Swim Bladder? Also, it did not take any food today.
Any help or advice would be appreciated, as you can probably tell its all new to me!!!!

I have seven danios, all of whom are very healthy and love to play with each other. However I did have a baby girl betta, who had Swim Bladder disease. She would not eat for the 3 weeks that i had her, and for the first 2.5 weeks she basically stayed on the bottom of the tank. then in the last few days she couldnt swim properly and had a hard time getting to the top for air. she was very sick, and i guess i didnt recognize her symptoms until they were way too apparent, so if i were you i would start treating your fish with some meds made for that ASAP, just go to the fish store and look around, it should say it on the bottle. but when i mean asap, i mean quick quick!! cuz i went to buy my girl some meds after she couldnt swim right for a day, and when i got back she had passed away. very sad. ~dEx

ps. i have also read somewhere that fish usually do not recover from swim bladder disease, but you have to try to save your fish, in my opinion!
also i would separate the fish from your other ones if possible to medicate, and raise the temp to about 80ish, slowly tho, over like a day or two. i raised the temp over two days for a fish that had fungus and he quickly recovered.

oh sorry to hear fish face I had a zebra danio he was swimming on his back when I came to check on him one day but he was actually alive. It was so sad hs face looked really helpless and I couldn't do anything I knew that so I just said a prayer for him that night and the next day when I woke. I saw him on the bottom of the tank dead it was real sad . I hope this doesn't happen to you! Best wishes for you and your danio! hope he comes out :smb:
