He's more unhealthy than my petco bettas, but they're in prime condition His scales are sticking out on the down facing side of the pic

Oy, what do you do for finrot, I have melafix I'm off to go treat the fungal looking thing now. This fish is frustrating me

and try to use some salt and look for bettmax online cause it was har for me to find.

If his scales are sticking out and he's bloated it's most likely dropsy.

Try kanacyn. That worked for my betta that had dropsy, or at least signs of it.

He's perking up after I added salt, and I'm doing another waterchange later
