Ok my fry just hactched, and Ive read some books but nothing about how the fry may act besides eating thier egg after hatching. Anyway, theres about one hundred of them and thier alll on the bottom of the tank, not moving, only if I make a slight disturbance about 30 may move a little, and the way they are swimming does not seem right. But my question is, do they always go to the bottom like that? lol probably not I just dont understand what went wrong. I have a nice tank and sponge filter, and now that i seperated the father he is soooo depressed, he wont eat and he just stays in the corner..how sad.. I feel like a bad parent, anyone got any advice on the little ones..?

Did you take the daddy out too early? I thought that the males push the fry back up into the bubble nest when they fall down. I'm sure someone with experience will be able to make some useful suggestions soon.

Yes, it is normal for fry to behave like that the first couple of days, which is why the father is usually left in longer... I wouldn't recommend methylene blue though, I've heard it's bad for fry (though it can be a real lifesaver with eggs).
