Siamese With Pop Eye

I have a siamese fighting fish and i only purchased him about 5 days ago.
I went to look at him in the tank the day after and as i amnew to the hobby i am not good at detecting a good fish when i buy it.
My fish had a white ring round his eye and i thought it was the oclouring, so weh n i brought him home and put him in the tank i noticed the next day his eye had blown up. I realised he had pop eye! poor wee thing!
So i went to the pet shop and bought the medicine, i put in the stated dose, (dose 4 goes in sunday)
However i put the other dose in two days ago and i cant see any difference to his eye, i cant remember what it looked liked to know if it has been redu ced. how soon should this medicine work, and is he in pain?

anyone??? this fish was bought with popeye, my tank has been recently changed before purchasing and all my otherfish are happy and healthy
i have a 30litre biorb
4 black neon tetras
2 diamond tetras
1 siamese fish

Tetras with an SF?


Tetras, IME have always been fin nippers, so not a good choice of tank mate i'm afraid.


Seeing as your Betta had the disease when you bought him, I would take him back to the LFS so they can treat him at their expense.

Can you post your water stats please in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
What med are you using as some are better than others.
