Hi all..

I think I may have a problem.......
I got my tank and fish from a friend last weekend,In the tank were some guppies(5),Tiger Barbs(4)Plattes(5) I put in 1 Siamese fighter(male) I've since been told that NONE of these fish should be together all, Well I have them together in a 40 Gal tank...
NONE of them have fought or even bother eachother...
Shall I leave them together or what? which ones do I take out?

Can someone give me some advice asap please as I'd hate for any of them to hurt or even worse kill eachother...
Thank You!!

Only problem i would think you'd run into would be the barbs. They are semi-aggressive and will chase and nip long flowing tails(like any male guppies). But in larger groups I've heard they can peaceful and just quarrel among themselves at times. Also, if you have alot of hiding spots for the the guppies to run to, it could reduce aggressive or damage done. Since you have a 40 gallon, they have alot of space to themselves so there's no fighting. If they were in a 20 gallon, aggression would increase b/c of territory.

Look at my signature. I keep mine with guppies, platies, and zebra danios. And yet they are doing fine. It really depends on the betta. Just keep an eye out and make sure nothng happens.

P.T.

Thanks guys,.

Yes there is loads of hiding places for the guppies,They all seem to be fine,I watch them for ages and can honestly say none of them look to be agressive at all, The Siamese Fighter is one of the most peaceful ones in the tank,He just floats around one end of the tank alot of the time but does swim around the middle abit too. But I will keep an eye on them all.

Once again thank you both ;)

Yep I'm a newbie..Thanks for the welcome :D ..
