Siamese Algae eaters

I’ve recently got 3 SAE’s (and I checked all stuff from the internet so I’m confident that they are SAE’s) but they don’t appear to be eating any of my black hair algae. Is this because there is plenty more food on offer? Has anyone else experienced this?

Like almost all algea eating fish they will ignor it if more nutritious alternatives are offered, dont feed the fish for a couple of days and they should start mowing down the BHA.

I also have siamese flying foxes and the 2 in my little tank seem to eat algae but it doesn't look any different...

just as well I didn't buy them for their cleaning abilities.
