Siamese algae eater

im in the middle of a decision of which fish to buy. i have some brown algae develop on the gravel bed, plants and glass and was wondering if SAE's eat brown algae?

if not, i may have to buy some Otos instead

I can tell you that right now I've got brown algae and 2 SAEs in my tank. They'll skim over the surface of the brown but it's all developed since after they were put in and they aren't doing much about it so I'd have to say that's a negative on the SAEs.

I'm thinking of trading them in for a couple of otos.
