So far I have only one verified successful feeding of my shroom since I got it...the rest of the time it either doesn't bother to eat or starts to eat and spits it out later. I've tried bits of prawn, mysis, brine shrimp. Part of the problem is that it's on an angle so it's hard to get food to stay on it long enough for it to respond. How do you guys feed your shrooms when they are not level?

I'm hoping mine still looks healthy (picture is a bit washed out...it's more red). It's grown since I got it. It's got a kind of irregular shape but I'm not sure if that means it's thinking about dividing or what... :S

Anyone have pictures to share of what a dividing mushroom looks?

Might be dividing. I've had 3 of mine fuse but they all did it real quick... Looks kind of like it, but not exactly the same. When I feed corals I always throw my powerhead switch to stop the flow. Makes life a lot easier ;)

I'm looking forward to having more so I hope it does divide. I turn off the powerheads, but my shroomy still spits everything out or lets it fall off lol. Do they fast for a while when dividing?

Good question, I have no idea since I have too many to monitor like that :D

I wouldnt know either, although I certainly havnt heard of anything like that. I guess it will eat when it wants to if it does take food on some occasions. I never feed all of mine directly. Too many and too difficult positions. What are you trying to feed?
