Hi all,

Thought I would share a few pictures that I took of my shrimp in my rio 180, they're by no means great but considering the camera's over 5 years old they came out ok. To say that the tank doesn't have a light also I thought the pictures were Ok, getting abit of indirect sunlight only.

I counted 73 shrimp the other day, I think its safe to say there is probably around another 25 I couldn't see so I think that may mean I've broken the 100 barrier which I'm happy about.

Best picture of the lot IMO, happy with this one

I went round the back of the tank for this picture (not an easy feat), glass desperately needs a clean as you can see :p

I put in some algea from my oscar tank for the shrimps to eat, the guppies also go wild over it

This one also shows the guppies that are being rehomed ASAP this week, after that I will hopefully be getting another species of shrimp to add to the tank, not 100% decided yet.

Hope you enjoy them

I quite like the first picture with the natural light :) How on earth do you guys count the number of cherry shrimps in your tanks  I can never count mine so I have no idea how many are in my tanks

I normally drop an algea tablet in then wait abit then count how many swarm around it. Hopefully in a couple of months or so I'll have a big enough population I can start moving some around.
