Shrink wrapped betta?

He looks like one of mine too, except my guy Spazz is a round tail plakat, not a spade tail. He's the daddy of my current spawn.

Are wild B. splendis usually that big? My similar looking male is about 3 inches...

Depending on how well they are fed, they grow to about 3 inches (7.5 cm) from mouth to caudal peduncle.

My boy has reached its maximum length (3 inches). He's not really particular about food and is fed once to twice a day. He eats Hikari® Betta Bio-Gold pellets, freeze-dried bloodworms and Artemia (Sea Monkeys®).
