hi. i bought 4 shrimps yesterday to clean up the fry tank, anyways each one was loaded with eggs. what i want to know is, are they fertile? are they fertalised then laid? or laid and then fertalised??? if so, is there any chance that they could be reared? if so, HOW?

What kind of shrimp are we talking about? If its ghost shrimp the eggs will be green if they're fertilized and they're fertilized while inside the body, if they're black they're not fertilized and if all of them are filled with eggs there is no way the eggs will be fertilized and if the eggs are fertilized they probably will not survive because I think the baby shrimp have to grow up in brackish water.

they were only bought yesterday so chances were they were in with a few males. there not amano no, they have a greeny stripe going through the body. the eggs are kinda gray colour.

The first one is a ghost shrimp, the second is a singapore shrimp.
Oh and Amano and ghost shrimp are 2 different kinds.

deffo wasnt a singapore shrimp, neither a ghost shrimp.
i cant get a decent pics so i will try to find out what they are whe n i next go to the lfs from which i got them.

Chances are they will misinform you, most LFS's dont have a clue about the invertebrates they sell. But they may know so good luck.
