Hi my shimps have all collected together and gone to the back top right of the aquarium at the surface  . There's 8 altogether and normally they do thier own thing in the tank.

The only thing I can think of is that I added some fertilisers to the tank, KPO kSO KNO Trace elements and GH mix, there wasn't any copper contained in the mixes so I can't think of anything :/ .

Hi
do they appear to be trying to escape the water??
are they near the flow of the filter or near a pump?
are the parameters all ok?

to be on the safe side i would do a water change and see how they react afterwards, it does sound as though they don't like something in your water

I don't know if they are trying to escape, they are on the upper sucker of an airline tube. It is also near (ish) to the outflow but it's behind it. Just done a 20% water change and no change, then again it might take time.

I wouldnt panic just yet, somtimes mine like to hang out by the outflow, i think its a good place to feed as theres a constant flow of tiny algae particles etc.

Their eyes seem really big and black, they might have been like that before though lol.

shrimp clustering up together indicates they are scared of something, it could be the change in water conditions (i.e. the fertiliser added) or another factor. what fish are in the tank? is anyone being a bully?

Actually they are hanging in the exact spot where I poured in the fertilisers lol, maybe they like it. Nope, no bullies whatsoever in the tank

Mine have done this in the past. The dont stay there for long and i havent seen them do it for a while. I think its down to good feeding spots.
