Sure do. Take a look at my sig to see what. I keep them in a brackish tank, so it has added salt. Have U messed around with brackish? I've heard that brackish water helps the molting process. If U get invertabrates make sure that U have good filtration as they are very messy. A lot of what I learned about these guys I learned recently on this forum. If U wanna see my posts just do a search of the forum. I also read that iodine/iodide is good for them and that they cannot stand heavy metals at all in the water.
Keeping shrimp will change your life! Well maybe not but they sure add a new dimension to your tank!
I currently have 5 Amano Shrimp and a brand Nu Mountain shrimp!
As thehe Amano Shrimp are renowned for their algae hunger so they are not only interesting and beautiful but they are functional!
As for my Mountain Shrimp, well hes brand new and I'm not sure if he will contribute as much. He's a filter feeder with specially adapted claws to capture paticles he disturbs from his bogwood log (previously owned by one of my girlfriends gourami. He he!)
I'm sure most invert lovers will tell you the functionality of inverts exceeds that of most fish and there just so dam interestin to watch at work!
Be careful which fish you choose to keep with your shrimp if u get any! I hear clown loaches are quite bad!
AND THE NUMBER 1 RULE... NEVER PUT IN COPPER BASED MEDICATION WITH INVERTS such as certain whitespot treatments! THEY WILL DIE!
