do they add much to the bio load as in in a stocked tank would they make much differnce.

Also could you kepp a couple in a 2 gallon and what do they eat?

i have a 3 gallon shrimp tank with at one point 10 shrimp in it. cherrys are smaller and tend to live loner but are more expensive than ghost shrimp. small shrimps wont add much to the bio load but bigger shrimp deff do. fish the size of crayfish will poop as much as a common pleco IMPE.

small shrimp in a 2 gallon is good considering you have good filtration and a steady temp. as for food...about once a week ill throw something that sinks to the bottom. theyll clean it up and also feed off small organisms that live on live plants.

my shrimp tank has 6 white clouds in it and when i feed them, they get whats left over.

could i say keep 3-5 different 2-3.5cm shrimp in my fully stocked 26L planted without it altering water chemistry much. also could my 2 galon desk tank take 4-6 of the same things as a species only tank?

I added 4 amonos in a fully stocked tank.
As long as the water parameters are ok ... you should be fine.

well i ahve roughly 250 cherry shrimp in 1 2ft tank and the levels stay stable and have done since i set it up. (and its got BN fry in as well)
