Hello Guys....just really wanted to ask this question...I have a shrimp that has shed last night. when i got up this morning it seems that he has ripped off his front legs and the rams are now trying to eat him

Wiull he be alright or will I have to put him down???

I think the rams bit his legs off; Shrimp are vulnerable after they molt. If his front legs are gone, then he may not be able to feed depending on the species. They use the front ones to grab things.

Can you seperate him in a breeding net or somthing?

I am gonna be sick....
Glad that he will regrow them though....wish we could do that!!!

Had a closer look and the legs he has got are deformed so he can not walk upright and it seems that his feeder arms are missing aswell....not looking good.

I have separated him so that the Rams can not get to him...

Will he starve to death????
How long does it take to regrow legs???

Yeah....thats what I thought....I went out and bought a proper breeding trap today so it will not happen again.
