Hello, I have a15 gallon fluval flex with 10 blue/red cherry shrimp. I wanted to add a small school of nano fish that won't mess with the adults or eat all the babies. Any suggestions or personal experiences

I personally like Boraras brigittae and Boraras merah.

I do too. Don't these require lower ph and soft water? I don't have these water conditions

Celestial pearl danio (aka galaxy rasbora)
Here are mine in my Flex 15G with some red rillis. 20 Would be a good amount. They may eat shrimplets but mine (shrimp I mean) have gone from 7 to over 200 in about 8 months. In retaliation the shrimp will eat the CPD eggs and you are unlikely to see any fry. They are ok in hardish alkaline water but probably won't breed in it anyway.

cpds look really good. I had read some people saying they kill shrimp. I guess its different for everyone

I don't think they will do actual harm to an adult, but maybe with shrimplets.

They are actually quite timid. Its not uncommon to see a large :) shrimp chasing the CPD away from the food. They are not much bigger than the adult shrimp. By the time I can see the shrimplets they are already too big for the CPD to eat (and too fast).

also seannge what do you do for plants they look great
Seachem flourish root tabs and half dosage of flourish comprehensive once a week (1/2 ml in the flex). I have reduced the intensity of the standard lights to about 50% as they are too bright for the plants I have. If I don't do this I get BBA and some of the plants start going brown.
